In order to provide the railroads small inspection trolleys with shelter, many companies built track inspection sheds when the line was built. They normally consisted of just a simple structure of beams faced with boarding. Our model is a rather ancient example of these typical simple railroad buildings. Still essential on many stations today, the shed can also be used to house other railroad vehicles such as small goods wagons. The old fashioned looking cedar shingled roof, planked walls, double doors and the small side entrance have been weathered to look like the original and can stand up to any outside conditions
