At the height of the Steam Era, gigantic steam locomotives roared across the vast American continent. The New York Central´s "J3a" Hudsons weighed an astounding 780,000 pounds (383,805 kg), carried 18,000 gallons (68130 l) of water and were capable of capable of pulling a train weighing 3.6 million pounds (1.6 million kg) more than 60 mph (97 kph). But the Hudsons were more than big. They were well proportioned, and their distinctive features, like boxpok drivers, made them the beauty queens of eastern U.S. rails. Now, you can model one of these magnificent monsters. Each of these Limited Edition models is handcrafted in metal by Aster Hobby of Japan and is equipped with an LGB digital sound system. Production is limited to 600 models. These replicas are not intended for foul-weather use, but they will negotiate the sharpest LGB "R1" curves.
