This New York Central “B-unit” is equipped with LGB’s acclaimed digital sound system. Sound effects include “notch” synchronized diesel motor, bell, horn and brakes. Additional sounds are accessible using the LGB Multi-Train System. This unpowered model is made for use only with LGB F7-A models. 

The Prototype:

To increase the pulling power of its popular F7-A locomotive, General Motors' Electro Motive Division (EMD) designed a matching diesel locomotive without a cab. This "B-unit" could be coupled to one or more F7-A locomotives and controlled by a single engineer in the cab of the "A-unit." The Model This unpowered F7-B model is designed to be used with the LGB F7-A models.
